Martin Webb FCA
Martin trained as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton and went on to join a small accountancy practice where he developed his entrepreneurial skills. Martin came from a self-employed family background and was always encouraged to think independently. Seeing the benefits it brought his family he formed his own practice.

Martin has two other businesses that run along side the accountancy practice. Both businesses are also based in Northampton. The first is a long established property management company owning property in the Northampton area; the second is a market leader in explosion protection of glass in buildings, internationally. Having set up and operated these businesses Martin is well placed to provide both practical and financial advice on the management of various types of businesses.

Martin utilises his experience with several clients, offering them advice in all aspects of their businesses.

Martin set up as an accountant, firstly from home, then in rented offices. In 1995 he acquired his own offices on Moulton Park in Northampton and transferred the accountancy practice to those offices.

In 1998 Martin went into partnership with Joanne Jarman. The offices moved from Scirocco Close across the road to Duncan Close in 1995.

Joanne Jarman FCA
Jo joined Webb House in 1995, becoming a partner in 1998. She trained at a small firm in Rugby and stayed there for 14 years working her way up to manager level. It was a major decision to move to Northampton but it is a move that Jo has never regretted.

Jo deals with a wide range of clients, both in Northampton and the surrounding areas. Jo is experienced in a variety of areas, including accountancy, audit, corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax, general tax and business advice. She specialises in advising clients on IR35 and employment status issues. Jo was instrumental in achieving accreditation from the Professional Contractors Group for the company.

Jo has a special interest in care organisations for the learning disabled and was Chairman, for many years, of a charity that operates 4 care homes and is currently developing its operations to include domiciliary care. Jo is now Treasurer and still plays an active role on the Board of Trustees.

Luke Notton
Luke trained at a small firm of accountants in Northampton and joined Webb House in 2002.

Luke looks after a wide variety of clients and provides bookkeeping, management accounts, accountancy, audit, VAT, payroll and taxation services. He also looks after the IT in the office.

Outside of work, Luke is a keen supporter of Northampton Saints Rugby and Formula 1.

Sally Gibson
Sally came in for a week in 2000 to help with some filing and has been here ever since!

Sally looks after the day-to-day running of the office and runs payroll for a number of clients. She also assists Martin with the running of his explosion protection business. Sally travels to Northampton from Rugby on a daily basis.

The team
Our team of accountants are very approachable and friendly. We work closely with another Chartered Accountants' practice in London, sharing information and accountants when needed.

We are members of the Professional Contractors Group and specialise in giving advice on IR35 and contracts. Whilst being based on Moulton Park in Northampton we are prepared to travel far and wide, with clients based in various parts of the country from Halifax to London. We have also been known to travel to Dubai to carry out a stock-take on behalf of a client!

Whilst we understand the need for a professional approach and value all our clients, we do adopt a personal approach towards each client. Our aim is that you will deal with the same accountant year-on-year, but will have the support of the other staff within the office should your contact be unavailable.
